Head Baseball Coach- Jon Whipple

Coach Whipple is from Hamilton, Ohio.  While in High School he played both baseball and football for Hamilton High, his sophomore year the baseball team finished #2 in the nation winning the state title.  His JR year they lost in the state semi-final game.  His SR year they reached as high as #10 in the national rankings.  After high school Coach Whipple walked on and played at Belmont University graduating in 03 with a degree in physical education.

His coaching career began in 2002 while coaching the Nashville Sabers travel team that went on to win the NABF world series. He got started in high school baseball in 04 while an assistant at Hume-Fogg high school.  After one year there he went on to Overton High School in the same role. Overton lost the State Championship game after winning 35 in a row that year.  After one year at Overton, Coach Whipple went back to Hume-Fogg as the head coach for 2 years compiling the teams 1st non losing in 10 years after going 14-14 in 06.  Coach then went south to Williamson county and spent 5 years as an assistant coach at Independence High School.  While there the team went to the state tournament twice as well as guiding the JV team to 2 tournament championships. Coach Whipple was hired at Franklin in 2013.

Coach Whipple and his wife Brittany Whipple live in Franklin and they have 2 daughters Shea 4 and Juliet 11 months.
